Hi, I'm Ken.
Many people come to therapy because they feel stuck.
They may be caught in the same relationship patterns, struggling with difficult family dynamics, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or finding themselves reacting in ways they don't fully understand. Often they know something needs to change, but they're not sure where to start.
My role is to help people make sense of what's happening beneath the surface. Together, we'll explore the patterns, experiences and relationships that may be contributing to current difficulties and identify practical ways to move forward.
I work with older adolescents (16+) and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, ADHD, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges and life transitions. I also enjoy supporting parents, partners and individuals navigating complex family relationships, separation, co-parenting challenges and ongoing interpersonal conflict.
Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can slow down, think clearly and gain a better understanding of themselves and the situations they find themselves in. Therapy isn't just about managing symptoms. It's about developing insight, building confidence and creating meaningful change.
My background includes community mental health, custodial settings and supporting people from a wide range of life circumstances, including blue-collar industries and high-pressure work environments. These experiences have helped me develop a flexible and practical approach that adapts to each individual while maintaining a clear direction.
I draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT and Internal Family Systems (IFS), integrating these approaches according to each person's needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature and undertaking multi-day hikes. This has also led to an interest in walk-and-talk and nature-based therapy for clients who prefer a less traditional therapy environment.
I look forward to meeting you.
