Level Up

A 6-Week Emotional Regulation and Resilience Group for Teens

Level Up is a small therapeutic group designed for teens who are ready to build stronger emotional regulation skills, improve resilience and develop more effective ways of coping with stress and intense emotions.

Many young people experience emotions very strongly and can find themselves reacting quickly, becoming overwhelmed, shutting down, or struggling to manage stress in relationships, school or everyday life. While they may already have some awareness of their emotions, they often need additional support to apply strategies consistently in real-world situations.

Level Up provides a supportive and practical environment where teens can build on existing emotional awareness and develop more advanced coping skills to navigate challenges with greater confidence and flexibility.

The group draws on evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with a strong focus on helping young people:

  • strengthen emotional regulation skills;
  • manage impulsive or reactive responses;
  • increase distress tolerance;
  • improve coping under stress;
  • develop healthier thinking and behavioural patterns;
  • build confidence and resilience; and
  • strengthen interpersonal and self-management skills.

Groups are kept intentionally small to support comfort, safety and connection.
